A placement cell is in operation at SWO Office, Patna and College. It functions with the objective of exploring and coordinating the placement possibilities of students with perspective employing agencies as well as guiding students in persuing higher studies. Campus interview are also arranged as and when required by the employing agencies.
Placement Cell, College of Fisheries organized 42 ICAR-AIEEA (PG) preparatory class for B.F.Sc. Batch 2022-26 students.
Placement Cell, College of Fisheries, Kishanganj organized expert talk by Dr. Binay Kumar Chakraborty, Former Project Director, Department of Fisheries, Bangladesh on 03.11.2025. He delivered two expert talks on “International Student Mobility: Trends, Challenges and Strategies for Success” & “Fish & Fisheries of Bangladesh”. He engaged in insightful interactions with students addressing key issues and opportunities in fisheries education, research, and foreign opportunities.
Placement Cell, College of Fisheries, Kishanganj, BASU organized the Expert Talk on “Higher Education and Research in Fisheries: Global Opportunities” by Dr. Vikas Kumar, Professor, Bowling Green State University, USA on 13.05.2025. During the lecture, Dr. Kumar shared his academic journey and significant research achievements in the field of fish nutrition and nutrigenomics. He highlighted the growing scopes of higher education and research in abroad and addressed all the questions raised by students. He advised students to develop good communication skills and push themselves beyond their limit and strive for excellence. Dr. V.P. Saini, Dean, CoF, Kishanganj felicitated Dr. Kumar and extended heartfelt thanks for engaging with faculty and students, enriching them with his expertise. Dr. Kumar generously donated a copy of his authored book “Feed and Feeding for Fish and Shellfish: Nutritional Management” to the college library as a gesture of support and goodwill. The program was coordinated by Mr. Tapas Paul, Assistant Professor & In-Charge, Placement Cell and Ms. Pushpa Kumari, Assistant Professor & Member, Placement Cell.
