An ICAR Short Course on “Advanced Analytical Techniques for Emerging Pollutants in Aquatic Environment” was held on 09 March 2026 at College of Fisheries, BASU, Kishanganj. The program was graced by Dr. Pramod Kumar Pandey, Dean, College of Fisheries, RLBCAU, Jhansi and Former Director, ICAR-CICFR, Bhimtal as the Chief Guest, and Prof. (Dr) Bhagwan Shree Ram, Principal, Government Engineering College, Kishanganj, as the Guest of Honour. The session was presided over by Dr. V. P. Saini, Dean, CoF, Kishanganj. This short course is being attended by 20 participants working in the rank of Assistant Professor and above in different SAUs/CAUs/ ICAR institutes, and Universities with fisheries faculties, representing several states such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Haryana, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.

Skill Development Programme was organized by SC/ST/OBC Cell of College of Fisheries, BASU, Kishanganj, from 9-18 March, 2026. The programme featured skill development workshops on resume writing, official email drafting, soft skills, and interview skills, as well as awareness sessions on national and international scholarship opportunities. The event also included competitive segments like speech, debate, and quiz competitions for SC/ST/OBC students.
